Drop Calculator, Breakpoints and rebuilt Mercenaries
Find where any item drops and your chance per kill, check your FCR, FHR and FBR breakpoints for every class, and see every mercenary's real skills, straight from the game files.
A big week for the wiki. You can now look up where any item drops and your chance per kill, check your breakpoints for every class, the Warlock included, and the Mercenaries page has been rebuilt from the game files with every skill each merc actually has.
Drop Calculator
The new Drop Calculator works both ways:
- Pick an item to see where it drops and the chance per kill, best places first. Works for every unique, set item and rune.
- Pick a monster (a boss or super unique) to see its best drops.
Set your difficulty, player count, Magic Find and Terror Zone, and the numbers follow. The calculator runs the game's own drop tables: treasure classes, the quality roll with Magic Find's diminishing returns for unique, set and rare items, and the limit of 6 items per kill. We checked it against Silospen's calculator, and Hell Countess runes match within 1%.
Every item page now shows the best places to find it, and every monster page its notable drops. Quest drops, Heralds and chests aren't included yet.
Breakpoints
Faster Cast Rate, Faster Hit Recovery and Faster Block Rate only help at set amounts, the breakpoints. The new Breakpoints page has them for all 8 classes, the Warlock included, and for the mercenaries:
- separate tables wherever the game has them: Druid forms, Necromancer Vampire form, the Sorceress's Lightning and Chain Lightning, Paladins with Holy Shield or with spears and staves
- enter what your gear gives and the page highlights the breakpoint you've reached and tells you how much you need for the next one
- link straight to a class, for example /wiki/breakpoints#sorceress
Mercenaries, rebuilt
The Mercenaries page now takes every merc's skills straight from the game files, and that turned up quite a bit the old page was missing:
- Act 1 Rogue: Fire Arrow Rogues also get Exploding Arrow, Cold Arrow Rogues Freezing Arrow. Rogues count as Amazons, so +Amazon skills and +Bow and Crossbow skills on their gear raise their skills, and they can use every bow, Amazon bows included.
- Act 3 Iron Wolf: each type has a third skill, Enchant (fire), Ice Blast (cold) or Static Field (lightning), and the page now has their Faster Cast Rate breakpoints.
- Act 5 Barbarian: the Frenzy Barbarian (Frenzy, Iron Skin, Taunt) is listed next to the Bash Barbarian (Bash, Stun, Battle Cry), each with what they can wield. Barbarians count as Barbarians for +skills.
- Act 2 Desert Mercenary: the auras per difficulty: Normal offers Prayer, Defiance or Blessed Aim; Nightmare and Hell all six.
Every skill shows its in-game icon, every merc its in-game sprite, and each card has the merc's breakpoints and their stats by level for Normal, Nightmare and Hell.
Bases: normal, exceptional and elite
Base item pages, for example Giant Thresher, now compare the normal, exceptional and elite version side by side, with the Horadric Cube recipes that upgrade a unique, set or rare item one tier. Items that never wear down now say so: the Phase Blade is Indestructible, and bows and crossbows don't lose durability.
Trading
Searching the marketplace by stats got smarter: a filter like "+2 to All Skills" now also finds items that have the stat built in (a Harlequin Crest always has it, whether or not the seller typed it in), and auras, skill trees and other stats are found however they were entered.
